My story
My name is Laura Schroder. I grew up in Shueyville before moving to the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area while going to school at Hawkeye Community College for Professional Photography and Digital Tech, where I graduated in 2014. I currently live in Atkins with my husband, Derek, our two sons, Clyde (4) and Emmett (2), and our two dogs, Finn and Caliber.
When I'm not busy with my family or my business, I'm working full-time at a preschool/childcare center as the 4's childcare lead. I'm also currently going back to school for my BA in Early Childhood Education. I never knew this about myself, but apparently I like to stay busy! Haha!
Photography has been my root since I was about 16. I fell in love with it in high school and have been growing my skills ever since!
I mostly focus on family, senior, and children (6+ months) sessions, but also take on a wedding or two each year.
I value taking professional quality photos that capture your current phase of life. If you're also a momma, you know how quickly each phase changes and the importance of pausing time so you can enjoy the memories later in life.
